What is boron and why is it effective in cleaning?
Boron is one of Türkiye's greatest mineral assets — but what does it actually do in cleaning chemistry? A short guide to surface tension, soil bonds and gentle cleaning.

Boron: from mine to formula
Boron does not occur alone in nature; it is found as borate minerals. A large share of the world's known boron reserves sits in Türkiye, particularly in the deposits around Balıkesir, Eskişehir, Kütahya and Bursa. For our country this is not only mining value — it is an opportunity to develop high value-added chemistry.
The BorVital range was built on exactly that opportunity: formulas developed in a university laboratory at Balıkesir Teknokent turn domestic boron resources into modern cleaning products.
How cleaning actually happens
Soil on a surface is usually a mixture of oils, proteins and mineral residues held in place by physical and chemical bonds. Cleaning means loosening that bond, making the soil transportable by water and then lifting it mechanically with a cloth or brush.
The critical link in that chain is water reaching the surface at all. Pure water has high surface tension: it beads up and cannot get underneath the soil. Formula components lower that surface tension so water can spread beneath the soil.
What boron compounds contribute
Boron compounds have long been used in cleaning formulas thanks to their buffering (pH-stabilising) behaviour, their tolerance of hard water and how well they cooperate with other ingredients. A balanced pH matters for both cleaning performance and surface safety: an aggressive formula may remove the stain while dulling the finish.
BorVital formulas target that balance — high cleaning performance while remaining gentle on the surface. That is why our product language is 'tough on stains, gentle on surfaces'.
What it means in practice
Day to day the payoff is simple: less product, shorter dwell times and less scrubbing. Thirty seconds on a kitchen counter and one minute on bathroom tiles is enough in most cases.
